Give Where You Live
Support our local nonprofits
Charlottesville-area nonprofits set out each day with a shared vision: improving the quality of life for our community. They're doing all they can to create a better tomorrow. With our help, they can do even more. This is the opportunity for Hoos to get involved and make a difference.
So take the next step: Give where you live.
UVA students, faculty and staff can be good neighbors and serve our community during the 2024 Give Where You Live campaign, an initiative that connects the University with local nonprofit organizations. The campaign runs from October 2, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and members of the UVA community are encouraged to make direct donations to their selected nonprofit(s).
This campaign puts action behind UVA’s commitment to being a good neighbor and aligns with our institution’s original purpose: to serve others.
UVA has a strong tradition of supporting organizations in Charlottesville and beyond. This year, we want to ignite even more passion for local giving.
How to give:
- Visit our list of local nonprofits, which includes those traditionally supported by UVA employees and students. (If you do not see your favored organization listed, we encourage you to visit the organization’s website and donate directly.)
